Day 12: R E N N E S

Today is spent catching up on emails, walking around Angers' city core and doing a bit of shopping. Joad finds it entertaining to walk with his uncle Suley in search of second-hand book and comic shops so they have a grand time.

We are meant to stay in Rennes so after walking around Angers, we leave. Luckily, Rennes is not that far at all so we are able to walk around Rennes to do some shopping as well. We have arrived during some festival so there are a lot of tourists walking around and milling with us. We discover loads of neat little shops in this beautiful little town and have a very enjoyable day walking.

After cleaning ourselves up, Faruk takes us to a restaurant recommended to him. It is a lovely meal and we enjoyed the walk back to the hotel. A great "day off"!

Now we get ready for our big drive to see Mont St. Michel.
