Day 6: L Y O N S

This is one of France's best spots, in my humble opinion! This is a beautiful city which has two rivers that pass through it; the Rhone and the Saone. It's breathtaking!
Suley went to school here back in 1990-91 and still has some great and grand friends. But because August is THE vacation month for the French, we were able to only catch up with two...Jean-Bapt and Laurent. These two guys are terrific and met up with us...the Group of Seven.

Together, we had a great lunch over in the Old Town (why is it that every city we've been to has an old town?) and seperated to discover Lyons. As the others checked out the beauty of old town, Suley did some serious comic book purchasing at his favorite spot: Librairie Experience. Joad found some souvenir dragons! Finally, we rejoined our Group of Seven but first made a pit stop for ice-cream - right across the street from Jean Bapt's flat. With Geneva only about two hours away, we took our time getting back to Swizterland and relished our day in Lyons.
But....tomorrow...the REAL work begins -- we will set off for the Loire Valley in France!
