4. Seattle

Another bright, shiny day!

We are SO not getting enough sleep. Up early yet again to race down for breakfast. Since this is the first time we cross in to America, we have to also clear customs. We have a bit of a wait but otherwise a pretty smooth transition.

We walked over to Pike Place Market and had a grand time checking out the fresh fruit and flower stands; laughing at the "flying" fish, and checking out all the novel shops. There is a great magic shop there too, where we were greeted by Ruben who helped us find our lunch date, Stephen and even charged up Sandra's mobile phone for us!

We met up with Stephen at the shop, who then took us for a lovely stroll over to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch. Though we were all stuffed to the gills from our hearty breakfast we still managed to do some damage (some more than others, right Suley) at lunch. Bidding Stephen farewell, we broke into groups to do our individual shopping. Sandra came up lucky with a terrific pair of boots from Kenneth Cole!

Back onto the ship for the promised BBQ on the sun deck by 4 PM. Oh la la. As if we were hungry. It was nevertheless, a beautiful day so a great excuse to hang out on the deck...with yes, yet another funky drink. I have no idea what they have in here but the glasses are sure fun to collect!

We made our way back to the cabins to change for supper...we had a show to see first at 5PM by Joe Givan and Carol Massie. After watching Suley go up on stage to inspect Joe's mouth as Joe stuffed 100 needles in, we headed back to Versallies for dinner. It was another great supper (how can you go wrong with these beautiful meals?) and then back up to the Stardust Theatre to watch our host, Shawn Farquhar's stage show. Wow. You can see why this guy is their resident performer. High energy does not begin to explain it!

We took a break from magic lectures and went up to the Spinnaker's Lounge to listen to some music, had a little snack and then made it a somewhat early night. BOF. If you call 2.30 am early!
