3. Victoria

Up Early AGAIN!
You want to get breakfast don’tcha?! Sigh. Who can eat with so much food from last night still in the system. Well, (hand to forehead) we must soldier on...

We arrived back in Victoria at 8 AM but didn’t official get the permission to leave until 8.30AM – which was fine by us! With so many magicians in town, we were geared up to go back to Tony’s Trick & Joke Shop to work most of the day. Sandra had made plans to meet Grandma which was perfect, since she didn’t get a chance to visit with her when we did.

We got a ride into town from the cruise terminal, arriving at the shop around 9.45 AM and hit the ground running. From then on in, Tony worked the counter and sold like a devil! In between, the rest of us dashed around, checking emails, doing a bit of shopping (Ann’s missing bag was found but she discovered a giant hole in it the night before we left so had to buy a new one!) and generally running around like a chicken with no-head. Sandra, Ann and Grandma sneaked off for some lunch – what a great day!

We had to be back on the ship by 5.30 PM but we started making our way back with all our treasures stuffed into Annie’s new suitcase, by 3.30 PM. It was a good day for sales and an even better day for getting last minute errands done!

Had to get the mandatory picture outside of the ship with the Victoria Landmark lamppost and had a laugh with the chef who took our picture (he was in civilian clothes walking back to the ship, too). Then once back aboard, we realized how tired we were! Took a break on the sundeck and then headed down to prepare for our Formal Night.

Thank god one of the convention shows was cancelled because the performer missed the boat (literally) and didn’t make it to the ship in time! So we had an extra bit of breathing space and time to rest…best of all we had tons of time for COSTUME CHANGES (it is formal night after all). So much fun! Don't you love the Bond...Suley Bond?!


Had dinner at Aqua restaurant this time and enjoyed the Captain’s Dinner of Lobster and Beef Wellington. WOW. Scrumptious. We were supposed to have family pictures done in the Grand Atrium but ran out of time! We had a show to see at the StarDust. Ran to catch the Dance Company’s production of Music of the Night. Lots of dancers, singers and familiar tunes. Then…Julie & Tony dashed back up to Deck 12 to catch a magic lecture while Sandra, Suley and Ann, enjoyed the Spinnaker’s Lounge. We joined them up just in time to see the last of Greg Otto's comedy show...and finally had a chance to loosen the tie!

Another long but fun day.
